Susan’s Brisket in the Oven
Ingredients
- 1 brisket
- Dry rub (your favorite)
- Chopped bell pepper, onion, and celery (from HEB or similar)
- 1 sweet onion, sliced thick
- Marinade of your choice
- Balsamic vinegar (a little for extra flavor)
Instructions
- Rub the brisket with dry rub on both sides.
- Place in a large roasting pan. Pour marinade over the brisket and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
- Remove from refrigerator. Cover with chopped veggies and sliced sweet onion.
- Drizzle a little balsamic vinegar over the top.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350°F for 4 hours.
- Let it rest about 30 minutes before slicing.
